NMDOT and Safer New Mexico Now host Child Safety Seat Fitting Station in Deming

DEMING, NM – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and Safer New Mexico Now (Safer) will host a Child Safety Seat Fitting Station from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month at the Deming Fire Department, 309 S Gold in Deming. NM, by appointment only. This free educational event provides parents and caregivers the opportunity to receive “hands-on” instruction from nationally-certified child passenger safety technicians. Technicians will educate parents on the proper selection, installation, and use of car seats and booster seats. Technicians can also determine if a seat is recalled, expired, or otherwise unsafe.
