Update on How ABQ and Other School Districts are Implementing Programs for At-Risk Students

Santa Fe—State Senator Candace Gould (R-ABQ) said the legislature approved an extraordinary investment in education this past session, including millions in additional funding for at-risk students. Nearly $120 million was invested in the K-5 Plus program alone. It is an optional program for school districts that could extend the school year by five weeks for up to 91,000 at-risk elementary students in the state.
