Corrales Rep. Powdrell-Culbert Pushes for Less Bureaucracy in Angel Investments

SANTA FE, NM— Representative Jane Powdrell-Culbert (R-Corrales) is sponsoring House Bill 158 that will significantly cut the red tape for New Mexico angel investors seeking to utilize the state’s angel investor credit. Currently the program requires angel investors to apply for the credit with the Economic Development department, and not the department of Taxation and Revenue. The bill aims to simplify and streamline the application and approval process to boost angel investment in local companies.
