House GOP Leader delivers faith-based letters opposing Governor’s marijuana legalization bill

Santa Fe, NM- House Republican Leader Jim Townsend (R-Artesia) delivered several letters from New Mexico faith leaders to Governor Lujan Grisham concerning their opposition to the push by her administration to legalize recreational marijuana. Leader Townsend additionally delivered the letters package to Senator Cervantes, chairman of the Senate Judiciary committee. The letters represent the many New Mexican faith-based groups that stand in opposition to Senate Bill 115, the Cannabis Regulation Act sponsored by Senator Ortiz y Pino (DAlbuquerque), Representative Javier Martinez (D-Albuquerque), and Senator Jacob Candelaria (D-Albuquerque).
