INTRO: With time running out on the New Mexico Legislature’s 60-day regular session, the State Senate overwhelmingly approved a proposed spending plan for the fiscal year that begins on July first. Tom Trowbridge reports from the Roundhouse:           Runs 1:30          Q: Std - ((Scipt)): The Senate passed the Legislature’s primary budget measure, House bill two….but in doing so, the upper chamber added several amendments. That means the changes have to be okayed once again by the State House of Representatives. Only two Senators voted against the spending plan: Cliff Pirtle of Roswell and William Sharer of Farmington….both Republicans. Fellow GOP Senator Stuart Ingle of Portales, the Senate Minority leader praised the budget in a statement on the chamber’s floor:           Ingle1  :24 With the Saturday at noon adjournment deadline looming, there’s widespread confidence the changes to the budget bill will be worked out before the final gavel goes down.
