New State Fair Lights Bring Big Energy Savings

Exhibition of LED light fixtures near EXPO NM food court
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Just in time for the State Fair, a lighting exhibit that showcases the huge amount of electricity that can be saved by LED (light emitting diode) outdoor lights goes on display at EXPO New Mexico. “This new lighting technology will save taxpayer money and conserve energy,” said Cabinet Secretary Jim Noel. After moving around for the past five years, Mike has found a home in the Pecos Valley. Besides being KSVP News Director, Mike is also the play-by-play voice of the Artesia Crush semi-pro football team. From the Artesia Special Hospital District Board of Directors to the Carlsbad Municipal Schools, it can be said that Mike takes the pulse of the Pecos Valley.

Don Niccum is the Operations Manager and Acting News Director for KCKN Radio. Don is a former alumnus of KCKN having first worked for the station from April of 1990 to May of 1999 as Chief Engineer. He then rejoined the station in 2002 as afternoon host and production manager. He stayed with the station during it's transition to Classic Country. With the exception of a few years away in other markets, Don has been active in the Roswell broadcasting market since 1985.
