Enduring thousands of COVID-19 cases and hundreds of deaths to the pandemic in the past year, Governor Michelle Luján Grisham—in her annual—but delayed “State of the State” address this week—kept with her efforts to fund higher education for New Mexico college students.
Lujan Grisham says the past year’s crisis can be viewed as a loss or as an invitation to re-think the status quo and be ambitious, creative and bold.
Lujan Grisham also endorsed a proposed constitutional amendment to take an additional one-percent from a state trust fund for early childhood education programs.
