NEW MEXICO PUBLIC REGULATION COMMISSION ISSUES RESPONSES TODAY TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL’S LETTER REGARDING POTENTIAL ELECTRIC SERVICE ISSUES

(SANTA FE, NM—MAR 2)— Welcoming the Office of the Attorney General’s involvement in its ongoing efforts to address resource adequacy with state utilities, the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission today voted to issue a response to the New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas’ February 15 inquiry to the PRC. The OAG’s inquiry was sent to the PRC following PNM’s public claim that blackouts might be a possibility due to result of resource shortages during peak season in the summers of 2022 and 2023.
