The Luna Fire located north of Chacon on the Camino Real Ranger District, Carson National Forest, remains 61% contained and estimated at 10,142 acres. Containment lines continue to hold with no new fire growth along the perimeter. No structures are threatened. Infrared flight data shows some hot spots remaining within the fire perimeter. Crews will continue to mop-up, monitor, and assess the fire line in the coming days. Repairs from suppression activities, including re-seeding and restoring areas disturbed by bulldozers, are underway on affected private lands.
