In a press release, the president-elect’s team said Dr. Jill Jim, of the Navajo Nation, will help the incoming administration tackle the pandemic. “[Dr. Jim’s] leadership has been essential to the COVID-19 response on the Navajo Nation, as the Navajo Department of Health is authorized to respond to the declared public health emergency,” the Biden-Harris transition team press release said.
