The Genius: New Mexico’s Anwi Fomukong

In honor of Black History Month, KOAT shines a light on those who have helped paved the way in New Mexico, from the arts to culture, food, and history.

Anwi Fomukong, 20, is a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) undergraduate at the University of New Mexico (UNM) studying mechanical engineering. She’s also a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and an intern at Sandia National Laboratories.
