NAVAJO DAM, N.M. — A park ranger at Navajo Lake State Park can be considered a hero for his swift actions in saving a 10-year-old from drowning. New Mexico State Parks officials say a 10-year-old boy went into the lake to get a toy. The 10-year-old went too far into the water and was overtaken by water conditions.
