Magnitude 4.0 earthquake rocks part of New Mexico

EDDY COUNTY, N.M. — A magnitude 4.0 earthquake shook parts of southeast New Mexico early Friday morning. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake was registered between Artesia and Carlsbad at a depth of 6.1 km.
