(SANTA FE, NM—FEBRUARY 9)—Today at the agency’s weekly Open Meeting, the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (PRC) discussed dockets which were opened last summer and fall regarding potential issues with the reliability of electric service in New Mexico for 2022 and 2023. The Commission has been proactively monitoring this issue in order to provide assistance and direction to New Mexico’s investor-owned utilities, and PRC took action today to consolidate those dockets to ensure a concentrated focus on finding solutions to resource concerns.
