Legislation prohibits discrimination against transplant recipients based on physical or mental disability
SANTA FE – Today, Senate Bill 158 passed the Senate with a unanimous 35-0 vote. The bill, affectionately known as “Glory’s Law,” would prohibit discrimination against transplant recipients based solely on their physical or mental disability. Senate Republican Whip, Senator Craig Brandt (District 40-Sandoval), the bill’s sponsor, named the bill after Glory Sellers, a young child in Rio Rancho who has down syndrome and a heart defect.
