Stay home and stock up: Emergency management issues warning ahead of polar vortex

Dangerously cold temperatures will move into the state over the weekend prompting a warning from emergency management officials.

According to The National Weather Service snow and cold temperatures will begin to move into the northern and central part of the state late Saturday. Freezing temperatures are expected in the eastern part of the state through Tuesday afternoon with dangerous wind chills hitting the east, central and northeast parts of the state through Sunday.
