Lightning strikes during a Sunday afternoon thunderstorm in Grant County have ignited two fires in different parts of the county. One of those fires is the Lampbright fire. It’s located east of Mimbres, just north of NM highway 52. There is no containment in this fire, which has burned about 20 acres on private land. Type 3 helicopter drops were made this afternoon. U.S. Forest Service and local fire crews are at that scene.
