New Mexico hospitals are full, not from COVID-19 patients

“There’s still folks being cared for in hallways in hospitals right now because we’re so full,” Dr. David Scrase, the Cabinet Secretary for the Health and Human Services Department, said.

Many people avoided seeing their primary care physicians during the pandemic. Now, hospitals are packed to the brim. Doctors said the reason is a backlog in care.
