COVID-19 booster shot immunity with breakthrough cases

It’s been eight months since the first COVID-19 vaccine was made available, and booster shots are on the horizon. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends people take the booster shot at that eighth-month mark, but what happens if you’ve gotten the virus after being vaccinated?
