Medicaid scam targeting thousands of Native Americans for profit

It’s an operation that has garnered the attention of the FBI and the Attorney General’s Office, and it’s slowly becoming a national problem.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — “They said they can give you the world. They can say anything you want. Well, make it better,” said a man identifying himself as “J.” He’s one of hundreds of homeless Native Americans who have been targeted by a Medicaid scam picking people up from the streets of New Mexico and being taken to Phoenix, Arizona.
