(SANTA FE, NM—MARCH 9) — Like much of the State, the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (NMPRC) has been teleworking for the past year. After many months of being without physical office space, a new location for the PRC has been determined and both Commissioners and some staff look forward to returning to work in person when it is safe and appropriate to do so, while some of the agency’s staff will continue teleworking. In the meantime, the NMPRC has been able to continue its work for the people of New Mexico through hearings with utility companies, ensuring fair utility rates and practices, examining proposed legislation to determine the impact on New Mexico consumers and utility companies alike, and investigating and responding to consumer concerns throughout the state.
