Widening Paseo del Norte Safety Issue to End Motorist Frustrations

“Good news that will improve public safety and relieve motorists’ frustrations is always wonderful to announce,” Senator Rue said.

Senator Rue, who represents a portion of Albuquerque’s Westside  said frustrated  commuters and residents have been greatly inconvenienced  by the traffic bottleneck on Paseo del Norte just east of Universe Avenue.  That is why Senator Rue, along with House members representing the area,  committed over $2 million dollars of their discretionary Capital Outlay funds  to begin the work to widen Paseo del Norte as it heads to the top of the escarpment  between Calle Nortena and Rainbow Boulevard.
