The New Mexico Senate Republican caucus elected Senator Craig Brandt of Rio Rancho as its new interim Senate Minority Whip. Senator Brandt will hold the leadership position until there is another leadership election after the November general election. Senator Brandt is unopposed in the November general election and will return in January for another four-year term as State Senator.
