(KRQE) – Since the first gathering of 13 balloons in 1972 to the hundreds planning to participate in this year’s event, the Balloon Fiesta has grown tremendously over the years. But so has Albuquerque, meaning there are substantially fewer places for the world-famous balloons to land.
